Home Staging, Sacksteder's Style!

When we make the decision to sell our home, We want it to happen ASAP. We all know it is easier to buy than to sell. Why is that? Preparation for the sale takes Time, Money and Desire. Let Sacksteders Interiors guide you in the interior design direction to insure the quick sale of your beautiful home.
Some quick tips to follow:
Paint colors that are warm, fresh and neutral to compliment others furnishings. An accent wall of  a prominent color is always a great choice. It is easy to paint 1 wall if you do not like the color, not the complete room.

The sense of smell controls our minds and our outlook about how we feel in our surroundings. As a homeowner we want our home to be inviting to all the senses of the future buyer. Bake cookies not crab legs.

Clutter, clutter, clutter you must disappear. This is a must! Remove all outdated floral, artwork and accessories.

Closets need to be organized, Prove to yourself  and the new homeowner that your house is large enough to accommodate everyone's belongings.

Master Bedroom should reflect a relaxing retreat at the end of a busy day, not just a place to go to sleep. This is very important to the sale of your home.

Less is Best when decorating, for 2 reasons. You can clean and dust if you are in a rush. Keep life simple, while you are trying to sell your house.

The Entry is the first impression. A new area rug can make all the difference.

The Perfect Paint Job

Painting can be a big job for any homeowner. Make it easy on yourself with a few simple painting tips from Sacksteder’s Interiors.

Choosing the proper color (or colors) shouldn’t be your only concern once deciding to paint a room. You also need to consider the luster or sheen of the paint and ease of cleaning. With five choices of paint to choose from, you don’t want to be knocked flat on your backside when the time comes to make a decision.
Paint finishes range from "flat" or matte to shiny or "high-gloss." The chalky finish known as "flat," features a matte sheen that absorbs light and helps hide surface imperfections. Flat paint is ideal for high-traffic areas and ceilings where irregularities can exist.
Eggshell enamel offers superior cleaning durability to completely flat finishes, and has a little more luster.

Satin paints have a pearl-like finish. They're also excellent at resisting mildew, dirt and stains (they can better withstand cleaning and light scrubbing) making them more suitable for frequently used spaces.

Semi-gloss paints are great for reflecting light. The shiny appearance is most evident in rooms with a strong light source. As a rule of thumb (with a few exceptions) the shinier a finish is, the more durable and easier to clean it will be. Use a Semi-gloss on areas that are cleaned frequently such as kitchens and bathrooms.

One benefit that high-gloss colors possess over flat sheens is depth of color. The higher the sheen, the more vivid and rich your color will be. Also keep in mind that shiny surfaces, because they are reflective, help to make a small space feel larger. Shinier paints require thinner roller covers than flat finishes.
